The story of The Artist
I started making art when I was very small. I painted, sketched, used oil pastels, but my favorite medium was LEGOs. I would spend hours building with those little blocks, oftentimes creating my own designs without any instructions. Eventually that passion made me want to work for LEGO. That desire led me to Union University to pursue a degree in 3D art. After some research I discovered that working for Lego wasn't quite what I thought it would be. (Though LEGO is still an active hobby of mine.)
I still knew I wanted to pursue a degree in art, and landed on graphic design and photography because they matched both my personality and interests. The more I learned in these two fields in college, the more passionate I became about them both, while still never forgetting the spark I found as a child with LEGOs!
Graphic Design
Graphic design is my calling in life and I truly love what I do. I especially like being able to use my skills to provide people with work that is beneficial to them. Graphic design is a broad artform and there are endless avenues down which one can create. I am thankful for the opportunity to help others with their personal and business ventures and create a visual that represents their vision.
Photography
While graphic design is certainly the thing I enjoy the most, photography is the cherry on top. It certainly compliments my abilities in graphic design, and allows me to have another amazing avenue through which to create art. God's creation is all around us and I am truly blessed to be able to capture a little bit of the magic with my camera.
